In Loving Memory of
"Big Guy" Bruno Hold Mouse Pointer over picture for "Baby" Bruno.
Bruno departed this earth shortly after 4:00PM on August 7th, 2006,
from Congestive Heart failure and advanced age. His wonderful personality and sweetness will be missed terribly.
The kids are gone and grown with kids of their own. So this Chinese Shar Pei is
one of our "Kids". He came to recuperate from surgery over 10 years ago when he was aged 2 ½, and has
been with us ever since. If you're not ready to go for a "Walk" or a "Ride" you
have to spell the words or he will be raring to go. Very frolicky for a "Senior", still active and a
big "ham", he brings so much enjoyment to our lives. He has become so much more
than just a pet to us, he is very much a part of our family. But oh, those
muddy "shoes" do leave tracks.
"Miss Feisty" Fanny Mai
Hold mouse pointer over picture for Full view.
We adopted this "Big Girl",also a Chinese Shar Pei, on March 8th, 2003 as a companion for our wonderful Bruno and our love for the Shar Pei breed and is our second "Kid". Fanny is a
"Rescued dog" and came to us through North American Shar Pei Rescue (NASPR),
a wonderful organization dedicated to rescuing and saving these dogs from untimely and undeserved ends. She has the same sweet disposition and similiar temperament as Bruno (although a certified "Counch Potato")
and we have heartily welcomed this sweetie into our family.
"Little Girl" Sara Li
Hold mouse pointer over picture for her wounds view. Her complete story is HERE.
Sara Li (originally named Mandy) came to us from North Carolina as a Foster care case. It soon became obvious that she "Chose" us to be her forever home, so we adopted her and she became our third "Kid". She
came to us through Tennessee Chinese Shar Pei Rescue by way of Dominion Chinese Shar Pei Rescue of Virginia.
Sara came with terrible wounds to her back, hips and left rear leg as well as the right side of her neck. You can read her Story & Biography Here. This petite little girl (@4 years old) has the spirit and will of dog's ten times her size. She is quite active and
while Bruno just barely tolerates her sometimes, Fanny really enjoy's having a "Mascot" around and is our "Forever Puppy" Kid!~!
Charly Chan (originally named Prancer) came to us from near Atlanta, Georgia through Tennessee Chinese Shar Pei Rescue.
We adopted him and he became another of our "Kid with Paws". Charley was extremely thin as he had been a stray. He also had just went through Entropian {blepharoplasty surgery} Eye Surgery
and Neutering, and he had a funny look around his eyes. Also he had lost a lot of hair from lack of nourishment. He has a wonderful laidback temperament (most of the time!~!) and will make a wonderful addition to our family.
"Big Boy" Mr. Max A.K.A. "Mr. Camel"
Max left this earth shortly after 4:00PM on June 9th, 2006.
He had been ill and not eating or drinking and making the
decision to let him go was very difficult. His funny
personality and "Macho leave me alone" attitude leaves a
void in our lives. He's with our wonderful Bruno now.
Just call me Max. This older gentleman came to us from a Puppy-Mill closure in Jackson County Tennessee. While being Fostered, when he needed to see the Vet for his ears, the
Vet suggested talking to us about him. After meeting Max, we decided to keep this elderly Gentleman and let him live out his days with us from March 1st 2007.
Max is very laidback and vision impaired but gets around remarkably well. He fits right in with the rest of our Clan. He will be fattened up and have a comnfortable life.
His new Nickname is "Max the Camel" as he consumes huge amounts of water at a time!~!
Hold Mouse Pointer over picture for the original three!
